Stevens to lead Under 19's Interleague Squad

The Bendigo Football Netball League (BFNL) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jason Stevens as the Head Coach of the 2025 BFNL Under-19 Interleague team.

Currently a Senior Assistant Coach with Kangaroo Flat FNC, Jason brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, having dedicated over more than two decades to coaching in the region.

Jason’s experience is headlined by a BFNL Under 18’s Premiership for Kangaroo Flat as Head Coach while also leading the BFNL Under 18’s Interleague team from 2017-19.

Jason was also involved as Assistant Coach with the 2024 BFNL Senior Interleague side under Ash Connick.

BFNL Board Member, Todd Deary expressed his enthusiasm for Jason’s appointment: “We are excited to have Jason lead our Under-19 Interleague program. His passion for football and track record of success makes him the ideal person to guide our young athletes as they represent the BFNL on the Interleague stage.”

Known for his strategic acumen and ability to foster strong team cultures, Jason has consistently demonstrated his commitment to nurturing the next generation of players.

In accepting the role, Jason shared his excitement about the opportunity: “I’m honoured to be entrusted with coaching the BFNL Under-19 Interleague team. It’s a privilege to work with the BFNL’s talented young players and help them showcase their abilities at the highest level. I look forward to building a competitive and cohesive team for our 2025 Interleague campaign.”

Preparations for the 2025 interleague campaign will begin in the coming months, with nominations, selection trials and training sessions to be scheduled.
