KANGAROO Flat’s unbeaten run kept rolling in Saturday’s 10th round of A-grade netball in the Bendigo Bank Bendigo FNL season.

The Kangaroos were on their court at Bendigo Mazda Oval in Dower Park to take on Gisborne.

Defences controlled a lot of play as two of the league’s best renewed a fierce rivalry.

The Jayden Cowling-coached Kangaroos were able to take control in the big moments on their way to a 21-18 victory.

A Gisborne line-up coached by Tarryn Rymer holds third place on the ladder leading into next Saturday’s home game against South Bendigo at Melbourne North Truck Centre Oval in Gardiner Reserve.

South Bendigo scored a 19-goal win against Strathfieldsaye.

It was fourth against fifth in a possible elimination final prelude at Harry Trott Oval in Kennington.

When these clubs met in Good Friday it was South Bendigo which won by three goals.

This time the Bloods upped the pressure and capitalised on most scoring opportunities.

The Lauren Bowles-coached South Bendigo claimed a 63-44 victory.

It’s been a tough run for the Jess Mangan-coached Strathfieldsaye which played at Kangaroo Flat the previous round.

Sandhurst dominated its clash with Eaglehawk at Queen Elizabeth Oval.

The Tamara Gilchrist-coached Sandhurst poured in 68 goals as the mid-court set up plenty of attacks.

In defence the maroon and blue worked hard to restrict Eaglehawk to a tally of 37 goals.

When the final siren sounded the Dragons were up 68-31.

Was a tough afternoon for the Janelle Hobbs-coached Eaglehawk which plays at Golden Square next round.

The Teigan Redwood-coached Golden Square marked a superb attacking performance in an 80-39 win against Castlemaine.

The blue and gold dominated most quarters against the Magpies at Gourmet Pantry Oval in Golden Square’s Wade Street.

The Bulldogs moved to the sixth rung on the ladder and are a win behind the fifth-placed Strathfieldsaye Storm.

A Castlemaine team coached by Vanessa Saunders went into this contest a win behind Golden Square, but it was the hosts who seized control in the first quarter and did not let up.

Broadford had the bye.
