The Bendigo Football Netball League (BFNL) can confirm that the Marong Football Netball Club (MFNC) have been approved to join the Bendigo Football Netball League commencing from the 2027 season.
The transfer application was assessed in accordance with the AFL Victoria Community Affiliate Regulations. Following completion of the affiliate transfer process, including consideration of an appeal lodged by the Loddon Valley Football Netball League, the Region Appeal Panel determined that the appeal be dismissed.
As a result, Marong Football Netball Club’s transfer to the Bendigo Football Netball League has been approved for the 2027 season.
The BFNL Board welcomes the outcome and looks forward to working with MFNC as the club prepares for its transition into the competition.
The BFNL acknowledges and respects the appeal process that has taken place and thanks the AFL Central Victoria Region Council and Loddon Valley FNL Board for their time and work throughout the process.
The BFNL will continue to work closely with Marong FNC and relevant stakeholders throughout the remainder of 2026 to support the club's transition ahead of the 2027 season.
