McPherson & Leech to lead BFNL 17 & Under Netball Program
The Bendigo Football Netball League (BFNL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Sharni McPherson and Alison Leech as Co-Coaches of the BFNL 17 & Under Representative Netball Team for the upcoming tournament season.
Sharni McPherson, who has been at the helm of the 17 & Under team since 2022, returns for her fourth consecutive year with her leadership being instrumental in guiding the BFNL’s brightest young netball talent. Her continued presence with the team ensures that it will maintain a competitive edge and cohesive spirit.
Joining Sharni for the first time is Alison Leech, who will bring fresh insights and energy to the team.
Alison has a strong history of community Netball having held coaching positions at the Wodonga Raiders and Barnawartha. Alison is currently involved at South Bendigo within their junior Netball program.
We are confident that Alison’s collaboration with Sharni will deliver great outcomes for our athletes.
The upcoming weeks will see the finalisation of the team’s schedule, including details on player nominations and trial dates. Further announcements will follow soon, giving all eligible players an opportunity to showcase their skills and secure their place in the squad.
We look forward to seeing the dynamic leadership of Sharni and Alison take the 17 & Under team to new heights.
The appointment of Sharni and Alison, completes a string of BFNL Representative Team coaching announcements including Simon Rosa (Senior Interleague Coach), Tarryn Rymer (Open Rep Netball Coach) and Jason Stevens (Under 19’s Interleague Coach) setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting year ahead for the BFNL and our top-tier talent.
