GRAY CLAIMS O'CONNELL MEDAL

After a terrific match, our Under 19's Captain, James Gray from Gisborne Football Netball Club was named as the inaugural Robert O'Connell Medalist.
James led from the front on Sunday against a class outfit from the VAFA and never stopped trying to lift his team.
Despite the final score line, Gray gave his all in the contest notching up a game high 29 touches along with 9 clearances and 7 tackles giving James an impressive 145 ranking points
James was named Best on Ground for the Bendigo FNL and as such was awarded the inaugural Robert O'Connell Medal which is named after Golden Square and Eaglehawk legend and BFNL Hall of Fame Member, Robert 'Ninga' O'Connell.
Well done to James for his leadership and representing the Blue & Gold with pride!
