BFNL Under 19’s Interleague Update

Jason Stevens BFNL U19 Interleague coach has already been working closely with BFNL Senior Interleague Coach Simon Rosa to align the Under 19 and Senior programs. Both coaches are excited about the direction of representative football in 2025, with the league set to introduce several exciting initiatives to enhance the interleague experience.
"The commitment from everyone involved to making this a successful campaign is really clear," Stevens said. "It's a fantastic opportunity for young players across the BFNL to test themselves at a higher level and represent the league with pride."
The Under 19 support team has now been finalised, with Amy Kenyon returning as team manager. Stevens will be joined by a strong coaching group featuring individuals with extensive interleague and club football experience, including:
- Will Brohm (Sandhurst)
- Josh Baird (Golden Square premiership player)
- Riley Wilson (Strathfieldsaye Storm)
- Will Moran (Castlemaine)
In addition to the coaching and support staff, the program will be backed by a highly regarded medical and sports trainer department, ensuring our players receive the best possible care and support throughout the campaign
"This is a fantastic group of coaches and support staff with a great spread of club representation," Stevens said. "Each of them brings different strengths, and a lot of them have connections to the BFNL interleague program. Together we believe we can create a great environment for our players to develop and perform."
Nominations for the 2025 BFNL Under 19 Interleague squad are now open and clubs will have the opportunity to put forward their young stars. The league encourages all eligible players keen to challenge themselves in representative football to get involved.
