BFNL Senior Interleague Update – Coaching Panel, Support Staff & Schedule confirmed

The Bendigo Football Netball League together with Head Coach, Simon Rosa is excited to unveil its Senior Interleague Football Coaching Panel and Support Staff for the upcoming clash against the VAFA at the QEO on Sunday July 13.

Led by Rosa, the panel brings together a wealth of football knowledge while adding extensive representative football experience that will guide the BFNL’s top talent in this year’s interleague campaign.

Joining Rosa in key roles are:

  • Wayne Mitrovic – Assistant Coach
  • Tyrone Downie – Assistant Coach
  • Nick Carter – Assistant Coach
  • Troy Coates– Assistant Coach
  • Rick Ladson – Assistant Coach
  • Lenny Schmidt – Assistant Coach
  • Russell Shischka - Team Manager
  • Adam Baird – Runner
  • Paul Seery – Head of Fitness
  • Theo Kapakoulakis – Head Physiotherapist
  • Ryan Evans – Physiotherapist
  • Keiser Bendigo Staff - Physiotherapist

Simon Rosa, who returns to the BFNL interleague program after an illustrious playing career is excited by the calibre of the team around him.

“I’m thrilled to be working alongside such a knowledgeable and passionate group of people,” Rosa said. “The BFNL has a proud tradition in representative football, and we’re committed to putting together a program that allows our players to represent the league with pride and perform at their best.”

In addition to the coaching panel and support staff, the BFNL can also confirm details around the 2025 Senior Interleague Program schedule, including:

  • Initial 35 Player Training Squad Announcement: Sunday 1st June
  • Final List Announcement: Sunday 6 July
  • Jumper Presentation: Friday 11 July

In addition to these dates, training sessions for the squad will take place on:

·         Wednesday 11 June - Gisborne or Castlemaine

·         Wednesday 18 June - QEO

·         Wednesday 25 June - QEO

·         Sunday 6 July - Recovery

·         Wednesday 9 July - QEO

·         Friday 11 July - QEO
