BFNL Junior Rep Teams compete strongly at Assoc. Champs

The Bendigo Football Netball League's 15 & Under and 17 & Under representative netball teams proudly represented the league at the recent Association Championships in Parkville, competing against the state's strongest associations leagues.

Our inaugural 15 & Under team completed an 11-match fixture and produced an impressive tournament, finishing 7th overall after recording five wins, one draw and five losses across the championship. The squad showed terrific resilience and determination, competing strongly in every match and earning some excellent results against quality opposition.

The 17 & Under team also played 11-matches and they represented the BFNL with distinction, finishing 9th overall with three wins, two draws and six losses. The group continued to develop throughout the tournament with a few close finishes and the two draws halting momentum that the group was building. The squad showed grit, teamwork and sportsmanship against highly competitive opponents.

The BFNL would like to sincerely thank the volunteers who helped bring it all together - Sharni McPherson (17&U Co-Coach), Nikki Donnellon (17&U Co-Coach), Jo Morrish (17&U Team Manager), Steph Freemantle (15&U Co-Coach), Nikkea-Lee Hogan (15&U Assistant Coach) and Bec Macumber ((15&U Team Manager).

Each of their commitment, preparation and leadership throughout the representative program has helped to take our Rep Program to a new level. Their dedication played a significant role in providing a valuable experience for all players involved.

A special thank you is also extended to the players for their effort, professionalism and pride in representing the BFNL, as well as the parents and families whose support throughout the campaign was greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to all involved on a successful championship campaign and for representing the BFNL with pride both on and off the court.
