BFNL 17&U take Assoc Champs Title

The BFNL's 17 & Under Rep Netball Team has continued it's stellar form going undefeated for a third consecutive tournament to claim the Netball Victoria Northern Association Championships in Bendigo on Sunday 15 June.

Led by leaders, Jaida Raco, Lila Kelly & Lexie Fennell, the team rolled through it's 10 matches to qualify top for the Finals.

A 20-8 victory over Horsham District FNL in the Semi-Final put the team into the final against Wimmera who gave them their strongest test in the preliminary rounds. 

After 16 minutes of action, the teams were tied leading to an extra 8 minutes of overtime that saw the BFNL team score a hard-fought 23-21 victory.

The win secures the teams spot in the Association Champs Finals in Parkdale on 29 June.
