The Bendigo FNL will again be well represented at VFL level in 2025.

While there is a fortnight to go until the BFNL, the VFL is 3 rounds into its 2025 season and team lists have been finalised.

Headlining the list of VFL players that have aligned to a BFNL Club are a trio of Eaglehawk recruits; Jesse Corigilano, Lachlan Walker and Max Kennedy who will all represent Coburg in 2025.

Playing as Coburg’s captain for the last 3 seasons, Corigilano is a VFL veteran having played 143 games for Lions across 11 seasons.

Like Corigilano, Walker is a 10-year VFL veteran with Coburg and Box Hill and a member of the Coburg Leadership Group.

While the trio are going to be busy with consistent VFL duties, Eaglehawk are hopeful that they’ll pull on the two-blues guernsey 5-7 times in 2025 and when they do, they’ll be sure to have an impact at the ‘Borough.

In an exciting development for the BFNL, 2024 Bart ‘n’ Print Rising Star winner, Ryan Eyre will be hoping to wear two versions of the famous black and white guernsey: Castlemaine & Collingwood.

After a super 2024 at Camp Reserve, Eyre put in a strong pre-season with the Pies and earnt himself a list spot. Whilst it’s unknown how many games he’ll represent Collingwood; it’s a great step for a young and rising player.

Another Castlemaine player that has gained a VFL list spot is Zach Greeves who was a key contributor to Castlemaine’s 2024 season. Greeves has gained a list spot at the Sandringham Zebras.

One BFNL player who has already had an impact at VFL level in 2025 is Gisborne’s Shane Clough who has played the first two matches of Essendon’s 2025 fixture.

Clough, a hard-nosed midfielder, stepped straight up into VFL level with two solid performances to begin his VFL career.

Strathfieldsaye high-flyer, Bode Stevens returns to North Melbourne’s VFL list for 2025 after a strong display in 11 matches with the Roos in 2024.

Stevens is joined in the VFL by Malik Gordon who has gained a list spot at Essendon for the 2025 season.
