Congratulations to the 2018 Betty Thompson medalist, Madeline Stewart from the Gisborne netball club.

Maddy was able to hold off Eaglehawk's Ashley Ryan to take out the BFNL's most prestigious individual netball award for the first time after a number or recent close finishes. Stewart will cap off a fantastic season by leading the Gisborne A Grade team into this Saturday's BFNL Grand Final against Sandhurst.
