BFNL First Qualifying Final - QEO Access
In 2018, there will be some disruptions to the BFNL 1st Qualifying Finals fixture on Saturday 1st September with regards to public and vehicle access, including carparking surrounding the QEO and Bendigo CBD precinct due to White Night Bendigo.
Thousands will flock to our city for this free, family friendly event as White Night Bendigo weaves a spell over the CBD, transforming the impossible into the possible with over 50 incredible installations, exhibitions, street performances, film, music, dance and interactive events from 7pm until 2am.
This will have an impact on vehicle and pedestrian access to the QEO for the opening to the round of the 2018 finals series, Saturday 1st September.
Please see below important information surrounding access to the QEO for the first Qualifyng final (including links to White Night Bendigo and maps available for download):
- The White Night Bendigo printed program map, including additional transport arrangements – Public Transit Victoria; Trams; Park & Ride
- White Night closures (blue – no vehicles; red – local egress only) – road closures will be implemented at 4pm on Saturday 01 September
- All cars are encouraged to exit the event precinct before road closures. Note a large number of reserved parking signs will be in operation within the event precinct from early Saturday morning for event purposes.
- Cars parked in Queen Elizabeth Oval (QEO) carpark can exit via Gaol Road after road closures; but will not be able to enter via Gaol Road after 4pm.
- It is DAE White Night’s aim to open roads by 3am Sunday therefore closures will not impact the BFNL fixture on Sunday 2nd September.
