KANGAROO Flat broke Sandhurst’s unbeaten run, but couldn’t take the full quota of premiership points as the Bendigo Football Netball League’s A-grade match on Saturday ended in a draw.
Scores were locked at 56-all when the final whistle sounded at Dower Park in Kangaroo Flat.
The Roos’ duel with the Maroon and Blue earlier in the season ended in a three-goal win for Sandhurst.
Fourth on the ladder, Kangaroo Flat has shown it will be a team to be reckoned with in the run to and during finals.
South Bendigo won an exciting duel with Maryborough by a goal.
The Bloods played superb netball at Harry Trott Oval in Kennington to score a 50-49 victory.
Tegan Childs capped her 150th match with a best on court performance for the Bloods in the team’s second win of the season.
Gisborne was too strong for Eaglehawk at Gardiner Reserve.
The red, white and blue won 68-48.
Strathfieldsaye and Golden Square had a bye in A-grade as they were drawn to play Kyneton and Castlemaine respectively.
In next Saturday’s 13th round, Eaglehawk takes on Golden Square at Canterbury Park, Maryborough faces Kangaroo Flat at Princes Park, and Sandhurst clashes with Strathfieldsaye on the QEO court.
South Bendigo and Gisborne take a break in A-grade as the Bloods teams play at Castlemaine, and the Bulldogs are at Kyneton.
