BFNL Round 11 Netball Preview
SEPARATED by just four points on the A-grade netball ladder, Maryborough and Golden Square meet in Saturday’s 11th round of the season.
The Borough has home-court advantage at Princes Park.
In the race for a finals berth, Golden Square has scored 24 points, with Maryborough a rung below on 20.
The clash between fifth and sixth will be a highlight of Saturday’s play.
In round two, Golden Square scored a 56-46 win at home against the Magpies.
Maryborough had the bye last round, while Golden Square was outpointed by the unbeaten Sandhurst on the Wade Street court.
Co-tenants at the QEO, Sandhurst and South Bendigo do battle.
It’s a daunting task for the Bloods against a team that has scored 502 goals in eight matches.
The maroon and blue defence is also in great form.
South Bendigo also had a bye last round.
The Gisborne line-up should be too strong for Strathfieldsaye at Gardiner Reserve.
In round three, Gisborne passed the 75-goal mark on Storm’s court.
Eaglehawk and Kangaroo Flat both have a bye in A-grade as they are drawn against Castlemaine and Kyneton respectively.
