200 up for "fearless" Dragon
Nick Stagg- 200 senior games
The Dragons congratulate one of their favourite sons Nick Stagg on his 200th senior game.
Nick is a product of the St Therese’s football factory. He progressed through the Marist Dockers FC before joining the Sandhurst Under 18’s in 2008. Nick was named captain of the 18’s of the team which went on to win the flag.
Nick tasted premiership glory again, this time in the Sandhurst Seniors in 2016 under coach Wayne Primmer. Nick’s first game was against Kyneton at the QEO in 2008 while his 100th game was against the Strath Storm- both matches ended in victories to the Dragons.
Nick is known as the “barometer” of the team with his fearless attack on the footy a highlight. A real "in and under" specialist and has been rewarded with four most courageous awards.
Nick was also selected to represent the Bendigo Inter League team in 2014 and 2015.
In Round 12, Nick celebrates his 200th game against the old foe South Bendigo.
Well done Nick and best of luck today.
