Gisborne FNC unite to FIGHT MND
Congratulations to the Gisborne FNC who recently dug deep to raise an incredible $42,000 that was donated directly to the FIGHT MND campaign in the name of raising critical awareness and vital funds for research into finding a cure for Motor Neurone Disease.
Heavily driven by passionate Gisborne member Dale Pemberton, the club well and truly exceeded their initial goals on the way to achieving sales of approximately 2,000 Fight MND beanies along with the synonymous bright blue socks that all football and netball teams wore for their Round 8 encounter against Sandhurst.
In what is a truly amazing result, a donation of approximately $42,000 was achieved by the club which will significantly aid further resources to help find a cure for the disease.
On behalf of the League, we are extremely proud of the generous contribution made by the Gisborne FNC for a cause very close to the heart of Australian Rules Football in general.
