Remembering Kyneton's Maurice (Mozza) Smith

The Kyneton Football Netball Club fondly remembers Maurie (Mozza) Smith who passed away peacefully on Sunday.

Maurie was involved with the KFNC for 54 years, played over 100 senior games, played Reserves in 57, ran boundary in 59-61 and spent the next 42 years as a trainer and head trainer until 2002. Maurie was a life member of the KFNC and BFNL.


A funeral to celebrate Mozza's life will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church on Friday 1st March at 11am. Following the funeral, the cortege will drive one loop around the Kyneton Showgrounds before heading to the cemetery for burial.


A wake will be held at the KFNC Clubrooms from 1pm.


The Kyneton FNC and the BFNL thank Maurie for his enormous contribution to both the KFNC and the BFNL and pass on our sincere condolences to his family.
