STRATHFIELDSAYE’S credentials for back-to-back senior premierships were strengthened in Saturday’s 10th round of the Bendigo Football Netball League season.

Storm withstood a spirited challenge from Eaglehawk to win 14.8 (92) to 8.10 (58) at Tannery Lane in Strathfieldsaye.

GISBORNE’s slick passing and accurate goaling could not be stopped by A-grade netball opponent Kangaroo Flat in the 10th round of the Bendigo Football Netball League season on Saturday.

Although the Roos had home-court advantage at Dower Park, it was Gisborne which controlled most of the contest on the way to a 63-47 victory.

THERE have been wins by greater margins, but Golden Square coach Bernie Haberman rates the latest in Bendigo Football Netball League as one of the best of the 22 in his time at the club.

Resilience and character are traits that Haberman has seen a lot of from the Bulldogs squad in recent weeks.
