Melinda has enjoyed several coaching roles, including AFL Central Vic Academy teams in 2016 & 2017, U17 Bendigo Interleague Coach 2016 and U15 Assistant Coach for North Central at State Titles in 2016. A highly-qualified coach Melinda has also played a role as a State titles selector and a selector for the 2017 Academy program. The 2017 representative team had a very successful year reaching the Semi Finals in the Association Championships in Melbourne and a convincing Interleague win against Ballarat.
AFL Central Vic Operations & BFNL Manager Dennis Bice said “The reappointments of Tamara & Melinda highlight the exceptional job they did with the representative teams in 2017. We have no doubt that the players benefited from such successful and committed coaches.” Once again, the early appointments will allow both coaches to have plenty of time to prepare for this year’s tournaments.
