Dr Carol McKinstry is a senior lecturer and head of the rural and regional allied health department at La Trobe University. She oversees a range of courses including podiatry, physiotherapy, speech pathology, occupational therapy and exercise physiology.
In 2009, she established the occupational therapy course at the Bendigo campus after teaching for some years at the Melbourne campus. Her current role involves research and topics include rural health workforce, rehabilitation for people recovering from cancer and community engagement for university students. Prior to working with La Trobe University, Carol was in senior management and a clinician at Bendigo Health. Carol is also involved in several community organisations being on the executive or boards of Bendigo Volleyball, Marong and District Tennis Association and Bendigo Senior Secondary College.
